Ornaments Guide for Sword Warriors
Master Orna Power, Hero Orna Power, Own vs Equip doubles, and which ornament belongs on which hero.
Ornaments are permanent power pieces in Sword Warriors. Every Duck finale, code unlock, event shop, and Hall purchase that drops an ornament feeds two parallel systems: the Master Orna Power you feel on your own character, and the Hero Orna Power that multiplies companion stats when the same piece is parked on a hero instead. Understanding that split—and the Own versus Equip doubling rule—is the difference between “I collected a lot of hats” and “my Priest suddenly has twice the HP Owned line.” This guide walks the rules, the classic ornaments, and how to assign them without wasting a unique copy. Pair it with How to Level Heroes, the Heroes Tier List, Codes, and Getting Started.
Master Orna Power versus Hero Orna Power
When you equip an ornament on yourself (the master), you receive that ornament’s Master Orna Power—the passive the tooltip lists for the player: regen ticks, attack speed, crit damage, gem luck, and so on. When you instead assign the ornament to a hero, the UI switches to Hero Orna Power. That power is not a second copy of the master passive; it is a tagged boost aimed at a hero stat channel such as Own HP, Own Attack, Equip Crit, or Equip Speed.
Critical exclusivity rule: the same ornament cannot be equipped on both the master and a hero at once. If Frost Ironclaw is on you for attack speed and crit damage, no hero can wear it for its Hero Orna Attack Own tag until you unequip it from the master. Plan for duplicates from events when you want both the master passive and a hero double.
Own bonus versus Equip bonus (and the double)
Heroes already grant Owned stats (always on once unlocked) and Equip stats (only while the hero is in a slot). Hero Orna Power plugs into those same channels:
- If an ornament’s Hero Orna Power says Own [ATTACK] and you place it on a hero whose Owned Attack line is strong, that Owned Attack contribution doubles while the ornament is assigned.
- If the ornament says Equip [CRIT] and you place it on a hero you are actively equipping whose Equip Crit scales with level, that Equip Crit doubles.
- Mismatching the tag wastes the double. Putting an Own HP ornament on a hero that only has Equip Speed does not invent an HP Own line.
Practical assignment order used by strong accounts:
- Decide which heroes stay equipped this session (Prophet, Priest, Ikun, or a damage duo).
- Put Equip-tagged ornaments on those equipped heroes first so the double hits live combat stats.
- Put Own-tagged ornaments on your highest-level heroes that already have a matching Owned line—even if those heroes stay benched—because Owned doubles still apply.
- Keep the best master-only passives (sustain regen, attack speed) on yourself when you need to survive a new world band.
Signature ornaments and what they teach
Angel Halo
Often the first ornament new players own via the ANGELHALO code on Codes. It is a soft regen / early-game master piece. Use it on the master until Slim Balloon or Spark of Motivation outheals it, then consider parking its Hero Orna tag on a matching hero if you still care about the double.
Slim Balloon (World 2 Outpost Duck)
Recovers roughly 2% max HP every 3 seconds as a master passive—strictly better sustain than Angel Halo for most mid-wave kiting. Its Hero Orna Power is commonly Own [HP]. Put Slim Balloon on a high-level Priest or any HP-Owned hero you are not wearing yourself, then keep a different sustain piece on the master if you have one.
Frost Ironclaw (World 4 Glacial Chasm)
Master side: attack speed and critical damage. Hero Orna Power: typically Own [ATTACK]. Many players keep Frost Ironclaw on the master through mid game for clear speed; others move it onto their strongest Attack-Owned hero once a better master ornament (Eye of Hell, Spark of Motivation, event exclusives) arrives.
Treasure Bag (World 1 Royal City finale)
Economy / early reward ornament. Useful as a master quality-of-life piece while you still need every gem for portals. Once gem income is comfortable, check whether its Hero Orna tag helps a farming hero more than the master passive.
Tome of Intelligence
Classic Equip [SPEED] Hero Orna example. Place it on an equipped Speed-scaling hero (Prophet-style Speed Equip lines are the usual target) so the Equip Speed double is live during XP farms.
Night Knight Cloak (World 5 Dark Castle)
Dark Castle Duck finale ornament. Treat it like any late-mid piece: read the master passive for your push, then decide whether the Hero Orna tag belongs on a benched Owned hero or stays on you for the fight.
Spark of Motivation (World 19 Red King)
World 19’s signature ornament. Community clears describe strong crit damage plus a heavy heal-on-matter / regen-style master passive that outclasses Slim Balloon’s tick rate for late sustain. Farm the Red King Duck line once you reach waves 901–950, then decide whether Spark stays on the master for endgame pushes or feeds a hero double. See the Worlds Guide for the Red King ladder context.
Session checklist
- Open the ornament UI and note every piece that is still unequipped.
- Equip your best master passive for the content (regen for new worlds, attack speed/crit for farms).
- Assign remaining pieces to heroes with matching Own/Equip tags, highest hero levels first.
- Never leave a matching Own Attack ornament idle while your top Attack-Owned hero is empty.
- After events, re-check exclusives—titan ornaments often want the matching titan for full value.
- Revisit How to Level Heroes so Owned lines are high enough that doubles matter.
- Cross-check investment priority on the Heroes Tier List.
Common mistakes
- Equipping every ornament on the master and wondering why heroes feel weak.
- Doubling a level-10 hero’s Own Attack instead of a level-50 hero’s Own Attack.
- Parking Equip-tagged ornaments on benched heroes (Equip doubles do nothing while unequipped).
- Ignoring World Duck ornaments because “I already have Angel Halo.”
- Forgetting that rebirth does not wipe ornaments—they are permanent account power.
Ornaments are a second hero-and-master build layer on top of swords and enchants. Collect every Duck finale, redeem ornament codes, then assign with Own/Equip tags in mind. That habit scales from Royal City all the way to Red King’s Spark of Motivation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Sword Warriors questions.
What is the difference between Master Orna Power and Hero Orna Power?
Master Orna Power is the passive you get when the ornament is on your character. Hero Orna Power is the tagged Own/Equip boost applied when the same ornament is assigned to a hero instead.
Can one ornament be on me and a hero at the same time?
No. Each ornament copy can only be equipped on the master or on one hero. You need a duplicate if you want both effects.
How does the Own versus Equip double work?
Matching an ornament’s Hero Orna tag (Own HP, Own Attack, Equip Crit, Equip Speed, and so on) to a hero’s matching Owned or Equip line doubles that contribution while the ornament is assigned.
Where do Slim Balloon and Frost Ironclaw come from?
Slim Balloon is the World 2 Outpost Duck finale ornament. Frost Ironclaw comes from clearing the World 4 Glacial Chasm Duck boss line.
What is Spark of Motivation?
Spark of Motivation is the World 19 Red King ornament, known for strong crit damage and late-game healing that generally outpaces early regen ornaments like Slim Balloon.
Should beginners care about hero ornaments yet?
Yes once you have two or more ornaments. Keep sustain on the master, then park matching Own tags on your highest-level heroes even if those heroes stay unequipped.
