Boss Raid Guide for Sword Warriors

Boss Raid (also called Boss Mode in some UI strings) is a separate combat place in Sword Warriors built around defeating a dedicated Raid Boss as quickly and cleanly as possible. It is not the same loop as clearing 50-wave world bands, and it is not Eternal Guardian Hall’s endless tower. Raid runs test timing, iframe skills, and a Rune progression track that only matters inside this mode. Use this guide to learn the lobby NPCs, how runes boost raid damage and defense, what the Nightmare leaderboard tracks, and how Boss Raid fits beside Eternal Guardian Hall, Updates, and Players loadouts.

You can be strong in worlds and still struggle in Raid if your runes are neglected—or the reverse. Treat Raid as a parallel investment, especially once mid-game swords and iframe skills already exist.

Lobby NPCs: Rune Shop and Rune Master

Inside the Boss Raid lobby you will find two important NPCs:

Rune Shop

Sells raid-relevant consumables and prestige goods for rune currency. Community shop snapshots commonly list items such as:

• Transmogrified Cards
• Skill Reset Cards
• Timed Double EXP / Double Gem boosts
• Eternal Treasure Coupons
• Occasional raid-themed swords (for example Demon Sword lines with fixed Attack)

Prices fluctuate with updates—screenshot the live board. Skill Reset Cards bought here are excellent when you are rebuilding a WhirlWind / Hurricane Slash bar for raid telegraphs.

Rune Master

Handles Rune upgrades. To use runes in combat you must first obtain rune pieces from Rune Chests or purchase runes from the shop, then spend gems at the Rune Master to raise rune level. Published notes put the soft ceiling around level 16. Higher rune levels grant:

• More damage dealt to the Raid Boss
• Less damage taken from the Raid Boss
• Extra Attack stats and attack bonuses that apply in the raid context

Ignore Rune Master and you are essentially fighting the boss on an under-leveled difficulty slider even if your world sword looks impressive.

How a Raid session feels

1. Enter Boss Raid from the hub / mode select (separate from world portals).
2. Check Rune Shop for Reset Cards or boosts you actually need.
3. Upgrade runes at Rune Master if gems allow.
4. Queue or start the Raid Boss fight.
5. Use iframe skills on telegraphs, keep life-steal / regen ornaments active, and burn cooldowns during vulnerable phases.
6. After the kill, note your time if you are chasing Nightmare rankings.

Bring the same fundamentals you use in hard worlds: Priest or strong regen ornaments for mistakes, WhirlWind / Hurricane Slash for immunity, and a sword that already has solid enchants. Nightmare leaderboard

The lobby leaderboard mirrors the prestige style of Eternal Hall boards: it highlights the Top 50 fastest clears of the Raid Boss on Nightmare difficulty, showing clear times under each entry. Chasing the board is optional prestige—most accounts should unlock comfortable clear consistency and rune levels before obsessing over hundredths of a second. Still, the board is useful as a skill check: if your time barely improves after a big sword upgrade, your runes or skill timing are probably the bottleneck.

When to invest in Boss Raid

• Early game: Visit once to understand the lobby; do not drain portal gem banks into rune levels yet.
• Mid game: After Horde Camp enchanting and reliable iframes, begin steady rune upgrades with spare gems.
• Late game: Use Raid Shop Reset Cards, chase Nightmare times, and pick up any exclusive raid swords you still lack.

Loadout tips for Raid clears

1. Bind at least one long iframe skill before pulling.
2. Equip sustain (Priest and/or Slim Balloon / Spark of Motivation style regen).
3. Spend Skill Reset Cards if your bar is pure wave-clear with no immunity.
4. Upgrade runes before buying cosmetic shop filler.
5. Compare clear times after each rune breakpoint so you know the upgrade mattered.
6. Review full kits on Players if you stall on Nightmare.

Common Boss Raid mistakes

• Treating Raid like another 50-wave world and ignoring runes entirely.
• Spending all rune currency on boosts while Rune Master sits at low level.
• Entering Nightmare with zero iframe skills.
• Draining the gem pile meant for the next world portal into premature rune pushes.
• Confusing Eternal Hall aura farming with Raid Boss practice—they scratch different itches.

Boss Raid rewards players who respect its rune economy and timing checks. Keep worlds for campaign ornaments, Hall for auras, and Raid for rune-powered boss mastery—then let all three feed the same account.
