How to Rebirth in Sword Warriors

Bank permanent slash damage, XP%, skill points, and level-cap boosts—then rebuild with Prophet and Drillmaster.

How to Rebirth

Rebirth is the long-term power system in Sword Warriors. Each time you meet the level requirement and confirm a rebirth, your character level resets toward the start of the climb, but you keep inventory, gems, swords, ornaments, heroes, and every permanent rebirth bonus. Skipping rebirths is the most common reason players stall on Horde Camp, Glacial Chasm, or later portals. This guide explains the bonuses, when to reset, how Prophet and Drillmaster fit the loop, and the title checkpoints at 40 / 80 / 120 rebirths.

If you are still learning Royal City, pair this page with Getting Started. For input bindings, see Controls—rebirth is bound to R on PC and available from the menu on mobile.

What each rebirth gives you

Every successful rebirth grants a stack of permanent benefits:

  • +1% slash damage — basic swings and slash-based pressure scale forever; the bonus stacks with each rebirth.
  • Increased XP% modifier — subsequent levels come faster, which is why high-rebirth accounts snowball.
  • +1 skill point — spend it on skills bound to keys 1–5 (iframe skills matter later in Eternal Hall and boss waves).
  • Level cap +10 — each rebirth raises how high you can level before the next soft wall, typically stepping the rebirth requirement up by about ten levels as well.

You do not lose swords, egg progress, ornaments, gems, Hero Points, or Owned hero bonuses. You do lose the temporary levels and the unspent/spent character stat allocation tied to the current level climb, so plan a quick rebuild path before you press the button mid-fight.

When to rebirth

Rebirth as soon as the UI unlocks it during early and mid game. Sitting at the level requirement “to feel strong” wastes the XP% multiplier that would make the next ten levels trivial. Practical rules:

  1. Early game (Worlds 1–3): Rebirth immediately whenever available. Rebuild HP and Attack, re-equip skills, resume waves.
  2. Before a hard Duck finale or portal push: If you are one wave from a boss ornament and already at the rebirth requirement, finish the wave first, then rebirth in town so you do not face the boss at base HP.
  3. After Drillmaster unlocks: Rebirth, climb to the drill’s required level, clear the drill, then continue. Drills raise the HP or Attack value you get per stat point—skipping them leaves permanent strength on the table.
  4. Late game: You may batch a few levels past the minimum if a world clear is minutes away, but still avoid multi-hour soft-cap camping.

Community pacing often cites roughly 15–25 rebirths for Outpost comfort, 25–35 around Horde Camp, and higher counts before Glacial and beyond. Treat those as guidelines, not hard locks—sword stars, ornaments, and heroes change the curve. Cross-check loadouts on the Tier List.

Prophet for XP farming

Prophet is the rebirth accelerator. Equip Prophet at the Hero Monument in World 1 so Knowledge Acquisition grants +40% EXP from enemies you or your team defeat. That bonus applies while Prophet is equipped and makes every post-rebirth climb shorter. For pure XP sessions, keep Prophet on; when a new world deletes you, swap to Priest (~1%/s heal) until you stabilize, then return to Prophet. Full hero slot rules live in How to Level Heroes.

Redeem Codes that grant XP boosts before long rebirth sessions. Stacking a timed XP buff with Prophet and a high XP% rebirth modifier is how accounts race toward title thresholds.

Drillmaster after rebirth

Drillmaster NPCs appear across worlds. At set level thresholds they offer training fights that permanently improve how much HP or Attack you gain per invested stat point. Because rebirth returns you to low levels with base-feeling stats, Drillmaster upgrades are what make “level 50 after 80 rebirths” hit harder than “level 50 after 5 rebirths.”

Workflow after each rebirth:

  1. Put points into HP until you stop dying to trash packs.
  2. Add Attack once sustain is fine.
  3. Climb to the next Drillmaster requirement and clear it.
  4. Rebirth again when the UI allows.

Ikun (code ZHIYINNITAIMEI) helps drills: Sing Jump forces packs onto Ikun for six seconds so you can free-hit. Details sit on the heroes guide; mention it here because drills and rebirths are linked.

Titles at 40, 80, and 120 rebirths

Badge and title milestones reward long-term rebirth commitment:

  • 40 rebirths — Herald
  • 80 rebirths — Archon
  • 120 rebirths — Legend

These titles track prestige and signal that your slash %, XP%, skill-point pool, and level cap are deep into the mid/late curve. They are not required to open portals, but chasing them is a clean goal while you push Worlds and farm Eternal Guardian Hall.

Skills, ornaments, and what rebirth does not reset

Skill points from rebirths unlock and upgrade the skills on 1–5. Prioritize skills with invulnerability frames once Eternal Hall and high-wave bosses punish standing still—Hurricane Slash and similar iframe tools show up often in Hall clears. Ornaments and sword enchants persist; do not delay How to Enchant just because you are rebirth cycling—Horde Camp’s enchant NPC is a separate power spike.

Common rebirth mistakes

  • Hoarding levels at the requirement instead of resetting for XP%.
  • Rebirthing mid-boss with zero HP investment left, then blaming the game.
  • Ignoring Prophet and wondering why climbs feel slow.
  • Skipping Drillmaster after resets, so stat points stay weak.
  • Spending every gem on eggs while portals and Enchant Cards stall—balance sinks using the Worlds cost list.

Suggested rebirth session plan

  1. Redeem active Codes.
  2. Equip Prophet (or Priest if you are dying).
  3. Clear waves in your highest comfortable world for XP density.
  4. Rebirth on R at the requirement.
  5. Rebuild HP → Attack → skills.
  6. Clear any newly unlocked Drillmaster tier.
  7. Repeat until the next portal gem cost is banked.

Track your rebirth count toward Herald / Archon / Legend, keep an eye on Updates for balance changes, and return to the Guides Hub when you are ready to mix enchanting and Eternal Hall into the same session. Rebirth is not a side mechanic—it is the spine of Sword Warriors progression.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Sword Warriors questions.

What bonuses does rebirth give in Sword Warriors?

Each rebirth permanently adds about +1% slash damage, a stronger XP% modifier, +1 skill point, and +10 to your level cap. Gear, gems, heroes, and ornaments stay.

Should I rebirth as soon as it unlocks?

Yes in early and mid game. Finish a Duck boss or portal wave first if you are seconds from the reward, then rebirth in town and rebuild HP/Attack.

Why equip Prophet when rebirth farming?

Prophet grants +40% EXP from kills, including team kills, which shortens every post-rebirth climb when stacked with your XP% rebirth bonus.

What are the rebirth title milestones?

Herald at 40 rebirths, Archon at 80, and Legend at 120. They mark long-term progress alongside your slash and XP stacks.

What is Drillmaster for after a rebirth?

Drillmaster training permanently improves HP or Attack gains per stat point. Clear drills at their level gates after you rebuild so each rebirth hit harder than the last.
