Beginner Build

This beginner build gets a new Sword Warriors account through tutorial friction, first heroes, first enchants, and the early rebirth loop without wasting gems on vanity pulls. It is a full loadout guide in the Builds Hub sense: stats + hero + sword habits + skills + ornaments + timing. When packs start outrunning raw DPS, graduate to the speed-regen solo.

Before anything else: redeem Codes, join the MiaoMeoHome group, and skim the Tools Hub daily list.

Build goals (first hours)

  1. Survive World 1 packs while learning pull patterns.
  2. Unlock and equip Priest.
  3. Reach Horde Camp enchanting (World 3 portal path) as soon as gem math allows.
  4. Rebirth on schedule instead of overleveling aimlessly.
  5. Bank gems toward the next portal using duck quests.

Early stat allocation

Spend level points primarily into HP and Attack. Add Speed and Crit in smaller doses so you can kite and land crits without going glass-cannon.

Starter pattern:

  • HP until one mistake no longer one-shots you.
  • Attack until wave clear time feels responsive.
  • A little Speed whenever packs consistently catch your backstep.
  • Crit sprinkled so big swings matter—later you may bank Crit toward reliable crit chance as guides suggest.

Avoid dumping everything into Attack because Sword Warriors punishes dead players with lost wave time. Drillmaster is locked behind level gates; when a gate opens, train it the same rebirth (Tools).

Hero: Priest first, Prophet second

At the Hero Monument (Royal City):

  1. Summon Priest and keep it equipped for healing ticks plus HP scaling.
  2. Summon Prophet with the next points; swap onto Prophet when you are racing a rebirth level requirement.
  3. Ignore FOMO about event titans until sustain is comfortable—then buy them for Owned stats (Hero priority).

Priest is the beginner build’s identity. If you die with Priest active, the fix is usually HP, positioning, or a regen ornament—not an instant titan swap.

Sword & early enchant plan

Hatch the best egg you can afford without sabotaging portal savings. Equip your strongest star-merged blade. As soon as World 3 (Horde Camp) is available, enchant:

  • First combat rolls to chase: Lifesteal, Attack Speed, or Crit Damage.
  • Keep a mental note to move into Mysterious dual slots later (Swords).

Use Enchant Cards if an event hands them out—do not burn them on a sword you will replace tomorrow. Group chest weapons (historically including strong early Mysterious options like Wild Sword for new group members) can skip painful early hatching—claim them.

Ornament habits for beginners

Grab whatever free sustain ornament the game hands you (Angel Halo–style regen from codes/early rewards, Slim Balloon from World 2 duck clear, Treasure Bag from World 1, and so on). Equip regen on the master while Priest heals. Save exclusive titan ornaments until you own the matching hero.

Skills

Early rebirth skill points should buy panic tools. Community beginners favor Whirlwind lines that deal AoE and grant temporary immunity, unlocking follow-ups like Hurricane Slash. Use them when HP dips—not as your only damage source. You can respec later with Skill Reset cards from events.

Wave technique: group the mobs

Sword Warriors rewards clumping:

  1. Backpedal so small/medium packs stack on top of each other.
  2. Swing through the pile instead of chasing stragglers.
  3. Save spins/i-frames for boss windups or when your heal tick cannot keep up.
  4. After a wipe mindset check: did you fight while surrounded from three angles? Re-pull.

This technique matters as much as Attack stats through World 2–3.

Rebirth after wave milestones

Rebirth resets your level for permanent slash damage %, better EXP modifiers, and skill points. Requirements climb (often described as +10 levels each time). Beginner discipline:

  • Push content until you approach the next rebirth gate.
  • Swap Prophet + EXP bonuses to finish the gate efficiently.
  • Rebirth promptly—sitting 20 levels above the gate wastes the doubled EXP curve.
  • After rebirth, re-open Drillmaster, re-equip Priest, and return to wave milestones / duck quests.

Wave milestones (10/20/30/40/50 in World 1, similar cadences later) also pay duck gems and ornaments. Clear them on purpose; they fund portals listed on Tools Hub.

First portal gem mindset

Community-cited unlock costs start around ~20k–25k gems for Outpost, then ~750k for Horde Camp. Do not empty your bag into eggs the hour before a portal. Follow duck quests, gem enchants (once you can spare a roll), and codes. Exact tooltips always win over wiki memory.

Session plan (beginner)

  1. Codes + group chest (Tools).
  2. Duck quest progress in current world.
  3. Priest-equipped clear until uncomfortable.
  4. Prophet swap if rebirth is close.
  5. One enchant attempt if gems allow and portal bank is safe.
  6. Stop on a win—log what killed you for tomorrow’s stat tweak.

When to leave the beginner build

Move to speed-regen when:

  • Bosses outheal your lifesteal even with Priest.
  • You need deliberate Speed breakpoints to kite.
  • You are soloing a portal clear without party damage.

Keep the same pillars—Priest, clumping, rebirth hygiene—while reshaping stats.

Master grouping, Priest uptime, and rebirth timing. Everything flashy comes after those three habits.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Sword Warriors questions.

What stats should beginners prioritize?

Focus on HP and Attack first, then add some Speed and Crit for kiting and consistent crits. Revisit Drillmaster whenever a level gate unlocks.

Why Priest before damage titans?

Sword Warriors limited natural regen makes Priest’s heal and HP bonuses the simplest survivability spike. Titans shine after you can stay alive long enough to use them.

When should I rebirth?

As you reach each rebirth level requirement—especially after wave milestone rewards. Swap Prophet in to finish the level efficiently, then rebirth instead of overleveling for no gain.

How do I group mobs effectively?

Backpedal so enemies stack, then AoE the clump. Use Whirlwind-style skills when surrounded or during dangerous boss patterns.
